Chronoswiss Offers Signs of the Times Skeleton Watches
The Swiss watch-making house Chronoswiss has entered again into the partnership with the engraving specialist and skeletonized movement expert, Jochen Benzinger, in order to launch exclusive limited edition watches for 2009.

These Chronoswiss timepieces, called Zeitzeichen, or "Signs of the Times" when translated from German, are proposed in three artistic interpretations. Each of them reveals a movement embellished with the unique skeleton work and hand-made engraving.

Every Chronoswiss Zeitzeichen Skeleton watch features an iconic graceful round case sized 44mm and sculptured in 18-karat white or red gold. This very shape is defined by a complex construction of 21 elements as well as oversized strap lugs, which demonstrate screwed-through bars, rendered in 18k gold.

The dial of every Signs of the Times watch is hand-made from 925 sterling silver. The Chronoswiss’ Zeitzeichen V and Zeitzeichen VI timepieces expose bridges, featuring two special floral patterns. The Chronoswiss Zeitzeichen VII showcases an extremely attractive dragon with its sinuous body and roaring jaw presented against a background of skeletonized bridges, which demonstrate a blue platinum-treated surface.

Each variation of the model in question is powered by the manual-winding ETA 6498 movement, exposing the basic mechanical components, such as the mainspring barrel, the keyless works, the balance wheel and the escapement.

The movement features the massive screw-weighted balance wheel, moving back and forth at a traditional rate of 18,000 vibrations per hour. The watch offers a 40-hour power reserve.

The Chronoswiss 2009 Signs of the Times Skeleton watches have been issued in a limited series of 30 items. Both front and backsides of every watch are equipped with sapphire crystals. The models also demonstrate the onion-shaped crown, many Chronoswiss watches are notable for.

The watch is secured to the wrist on a hand-sewn alligator strap finished with an 18K gold buckle, featuring the brand’s symbol.
