Patek Phillipe Chronometro Gondolo Watch - Elegance and Impeccable Functionality

Aug 12, 2010
With its impressive Chronometro Gondolo watch, the world-renowned house of Patek Phillipe continues to appeal to self-assured individuals in quest of contemporary elegance allied with brilliant performance.

The Patek Phillipe watch, whose inspiration was found in the historical model from 1925, is proposed with a noble cambered tonneau-shaped case, crafted from 950 platinum. It is highlighted by the sparkle of 0.02-carat diamond, set at 6 oclock. The face of the Chronometro Gondolo watch proudly exhibits a high-grade sapphire crystal. The case back is fitted with the same glass, which provides a stunning vision of the mechanical manually-wound 25-21 REC calibre movement, executed entirely in the brands ateliers.

Rectangular in its shape, the mechanism operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and boasts a 44-hour power reserve. Elaborately decorated with 18 rubies and Poincon de Geneve pattern, it incorporates the S-shaped centre-wheel bar as well as beautifully adorned plate and bridges. The reliable caliber drives the functions of hours and minutes.

The temporal indications are presented on the hand-guilloched rhodium-plated gold dial. The display is marked with black Arabic numerals. Sweeping smoothly over them are black oxidized white gold spade hands. The dial also reveals Patek Philippe Geneve and Chronometro Gondolo inscriptions, engraved in curved cartouches.

The Patek Phillipe watch is coupled with a matt black, hand-sewn alligator leather strap, which joins to a historical buckle in platinum.
