Graham Presents Chronofighter Oversize Referee Watch

Feb 03, 2011
For the third year in a row, Graham London acts as the Official Timekeeper of the 2011 RBS 6 Nations Championship. The watchmaking brand is pleased to maintain its partnership with the prestigious rugby Championship that attracts six of the best northern hemisphere rugby nations.

The brand provides all RBS 6 Nations match referees with its chronograph watches. This is a perfect chance for the brand to put its timepieces to extreme real-life testing.

The new Graham Chronofighter Oversize Referee watch has been inspired by the world of rugby. The development of the timepiece was based on the codes from the RBS 6 Nations Championship. The seconds counter positioned at 3 o’clock demonstrates 6 squads’ colors. The transparent sapphire crystal case-back reveals the official logo.

While creating the new Graham watch, the brand’s watchmakers considered the needs of the referees. The watch boasts a titanium light-weight 47 mm case that perfectly fits the wrist. The dial of the timepiece provides utmost readability. The hands and indexes are coated with white Super-LumiNova. The 30 double-graduated minutes counter is found at 6 o’clock. With its internal 40 minutes graduation, it measures the halves of every match with great accuracy.

The watch face is shielded by a domed sapphire crystal provided with anti-reflective coating on both sides.

To avoid any injuries, the red lever and black bezel were covered with a soft-touch rubber. The left drive lever mechanism provides smooth operation. Without even looking at it, the watch wearer easily operates the system with his thumb.

The timepiece is animated by an automatic tri-compax chronograph movement - Calibre G1735. The 25-jewel mechanism, beating at a frequency of 28, 800 vibrations per hour, offers 48 hours of power reserve. It incorporates an Incabloc shock absorber.

The new Graham Chronofighter Oversize Referee watch is presented on the boldly red strap that nicely complements the colors of referees’ jerseys.

The watch comes in two versions – with a black or white dial, both limited to 250 pieces. It is 100-meter water-resistant. It is priced at 7, 950 CHF.
