The new Christopher Ward watch boasts a round-shaped case, designed in retro style. The distinctive feature of the model is a soft-iron anti-magnetic cage, placed inside the outer case. This device serves to protect the movement from disturbance, which resulted in fatal navigational and timekeeping errors for wartime pilots.
Housed in the case is a black dial. The face of the new Christopher Ward C8 Pilot Mark II Vintage watch is equipped with contrasting Arabic numerals and indexes, inlaid with beige luminous paint. So are the central hands, taking care of hours, minutes, and seconds.
The beige color evokes that of many World War II uniforms, lending the watch a touch of nostalgia. The date indication is arranged at 3 o’clock.
All the functions are driven by a self-winding the ETA 2824-2 movement. Its balance wheel can be admired through the transparent case-back.
The new Christopher Ward watch is worn on a stitched leather strap.
