A top achievement for the brand, each certification issued is governed by certain criteria. The first body mainly estimates the movement precision; the second focuses on aesthetics and technological details of the finishing, and the third one is aimed at reliability of the model.
The new Chopard watch is executed in a 43mm case, sculptured in 18-carat rose gold. The massive winding crown at 3 o’clock is also done in 18-carat rose gold and marked with a "L.U.C" logo. The top of the case is shielded by a high-grade anti-glare sapphire crystal. The model is also equipped with a see-through case-back. The case provides 50-meter water-resistance.
The timepiece comes equipped with a silver-toned grained dial, embossed with a "Poincon-de-Geneve" logo. Completed with rhodium-plated Roman numerals, the face of the new Chopard L.U.C Triple Certification Tourbillon watch ensures central hours and minutes.
The small seconds are allied with a tourbillon mechanism, featured in an opening at 6 o’clock. It is counterbalanced by a power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock. All the hands on the dial are rhodium-plated.
Breathing life into the functions is a hand-wound L.U.C 02.13-L (L.U.C 1.02QF) tourbillion movement. Its bridges are graced with a Cotes-de-Geneve finish. The caliber is embellished with 33 jewels and beats to the rhythm of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Integrated within the movement are 4 barrels (quattro technology), which deliver an impressive 216-hour power reserve.
The new Chopard watch is worn on a hand-sewn shiny brown alligator leather strap with a cognac-colored alligator leather lining. It joins to an 18-carat rose gold pin buckle. The issue of the model is limited to 100 pieces.
