The ingenuity of the new Cartier watch lies in its inverted rotor, presented on a dial side in the form of a diamond-set panther with black lacquered spots. The three-dimensional gracious animal seems to travel across a deep purple mother-of-pearl dial. It whispers the time through central hours and minutes.
The figure of the panther is secretly linked to a manufactory-made automatic mechanical 9603 MC caliber movement. It measures 36.18mm in diameter and is 6.85mm thick. The mechanism comprises 204 elements, including 31 jewels. Individually numbered, the movement runs at the rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour and supplies a 48-hour power reserve.
The new Cartier Masse Secrete Panther Decor watch is executed in a 42mm18K rhodium-plated white gold case, highlighted by the sparkle of diamonds. At 3 o’clock it features a beaded crown, paved with a diamond. The top of the case is protected by a sapphire crystal. Its back side is transparent. The case handles the depth of up to 30 meters.
Keeping the new Cartier watch secured to the wearer’s wrist is a black semi-matte alligator leather strap, finished with an18K rhodiumized white gold ardillon buckle. It is set with round diamonds. The overall number of jewels on the surface of the model constitutes 633 pieces, totaling to 6.8 carats.
