Bottega Venata Unveils Debut BVX Watch

Nov 24, 2010
The young horological company Bottega Venata is extremely pleased to take the wraps off its debut BVX watch.

The brand’s first experience in the field of watchmaking, this remarkable timepiece portrays a surprisingly mature design.

The new Bottega Venata watch is set in a round-shaped case, manufactured from titanium. It proudly reveals a brush-finished or PVD-treated surface.

The case is equipped with a time-setting crown, positioned at 3 o’clock. The case architecture also incorporates a high-grade glare-proofed sapphire crystal. The water-resistance of the timepiece is ensured down to 30 meters.

Embraced by the case is a tobacco dial, characterized by supreme readability. The progression of hours and minutes is marked by charismatic central hands. They circulate serenely over dot-shaped hour-markers. The seconds, meanwhile, are displayed in a separate counter, nestled at 10 o’clock. The date indication appears in a round aperture at 3 o’clock.

Giving life to the functions, housed in the new BVX watch, is a self-winding Girard-Perregaux movement, which utilizes an 18k pink gold rotor. Completing the consummate appearance of the model is woven crocodile leather strap.

A union of high-end materials, superior craftsmanship and cutting edge technology, the new Bottega Venata watch is created in complete alignment with the brand’s motto: “When your own initials are enough“.
