The famous "Bulgari-Bulgari" watch collection has been joined by a new luxurious timepiece for ladies - the
Bulgari-Bulgari Moon Phase watch. Naturally, the new watch proudly demonstrates the distinctive double signature on the bezel. The magnificent watch has united diamonds, mother of pearl and a remarkable watchmaking complication.
The
polished stainless steel case of the Bulgari watch measures 38mm in diameter. The timepiece is 30-meter water-resistant.
The zest of the stylish watch is a
rotating indicator depicting the phases of the moon. The complicated feature is presented against a wave-pattern guilloche central part of the
mother-of-pearl dial. The moon phase display advances in tiny increments during the month reflecting the movement of the Moon.

To celebrate its
125th anniversary,
Bulgari has created an exclusive limited edition watch that pays tribute to the brand's founder,
Sotirio Bulgari.
The
case of the Sotirio Bulgari watch, equally classic and contemporary, is crafted from 18K gold, either pink, yellow, or white. It measures 42mm in diameter. You will immediately notice that the bezel of the watch lacks the distinctive Bvlgari-Bvlgari logo.
The case construction is also distinguishing by the broad lugs that seem to form a letter "X" through the watch's dial. The surface of the case is embellished with nice contrast created with help of satin and polished finishes. The
silvered dial demonstrates a vertical Cotes-de-Geneve pattern and two curved screw-secured satin-brushed elements.

The starting point in terms of design for both watches and jewelry, manufactured by the
Bulgari brand, was a
serpentine scale motif. Thus, the horological company decided to use this time-tested technique again.
Bulgari is proud to present its new line of “scaled” pieces, the
Serpenti collection, which comprises numerous watch interpretations. The watch comes with a bangle, which “winds” around a lady’s wrist. The design of the timepiece is a perfect mixture of many styles: each of them created by means of employing a different material or an embellishment.
The Serpenti watches demonstrate diamonds, pink coral, jade, as well as onyx. The
bracelet is manufactured from precious metals, with 18k white and rose gold on the list.
The end of the bracelet exposes the watch part, which is represented in the form of a snake’s head. The face resembles an arrow head in its shape, while diamond-paved hour markers coordinate well with the stubby dauphine hands.
The Serpenti line is regarded as a jewelry collection rather than that of timepieces. It is distinguished by a relatively complex style of design that hearkens back to 1980s.
At the same time the
Bulgari watch is extremely graceful in its design, suggestive of the times when Bulgari was making its first steps in the watchmaking industry.

Within the framework of its 125th anniversary celebration,
Bulgari introduced a special photography installation at
Beijing’s Today Art Museum.
More than 400 local and international VIPs visited the event, aimed at supporting the brand’s
Save the Children “Rewrite the Future” campaign, which happens to be the largest international organization, children’s rights.
To celebrate the occasion, the Bulgari company unveiled its
exceptional limited series line, consisting of couture precious stones and seven luxury timepieces to be put up for an auction in New York on December 8. Undertaking its world exhibition tour, the line will appear for viewing session in China.
The total estimated value of the line constitutes about 3 million Euros and all funds realized from the sale will go to the Save the Children organization.
Both
Francesco Trapani, CEO of the Bulgari Group, and
Zhao Zhonghua, head of the Save the Children China program were present at the event, that occurred on July 10-th. The latter also brought together many high society representatives with a famous Italian photographer
Fabrizio Ferri among them.
According to Trapani, there could not be a better way for the
Bulgari Company to mark its 125-th anniversary, than to provide some people with a chance to improve their life in future. He also expressed his confidence that with the help of both Bulgari’s customers and Save the Children supporters, the company would attain its ambitious goal.
Produced especially for the occasion, the
Bulgari STC silver jewels were also brought to the forefront on that very evening. The Save the Children Logo, etched inside the silver ring, pays homage to the company’s founder,
Sotirio Bulgari, who began as a silversmith.
From February to December 31, the silver jewels will be available in all Bulgari’s sales points all over the world as well as on Bulgari’s e-commerce website, which is active in the USA. 20% of a piece price will go to the campaign.
The objective of this very campaign is to deliver quality education to 8 million children from countries, suffered in wars. The target, set by the company, is to obtain 10 million Euros by the end of 2009: 1 million Euros from this amount has already been transferred to the organization in advance.

Bulgari was proud to open the doors of its
new Paris flagship store.
The new Bulgari store is located at the corner of
Rue Frangois 1er and
Avenue George V, having become the fourth location in Paris after the boutiques on Avenue Montaigne and Place Vendome at number 10 and 25. This is the
largest Bulgari store in Europe – it occupies 1.500 square meters of retail space on two levels.
The
Bulgari store makes one think of the volumes and architecture of ancient palaces, having maintained all of the brand’s codes. It is based on a
new architectural concept of the ‘twin store,’ offering two separate entrances for two worlds, mingling inside due to the original use of materials and soft colors.
Customers, facing Rue François 1er, will discover a
full range of jewelry and watches, while glass display cases on the Avenue George V side unveil the
latest Bulgari accessories collections created for men and women. An entrance found in the centre of the ‘rotunda’ serves as a link between the two worlds.
