Parmigiani Fleurier Bugatti Super Sport - Top Luxury

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, that recently left the Bugatti automobile workshops located in Molsheim, highlighted the automobile history in June, having established a world land speed record for production sports cars. A Guinness Book of Records’ representative registered the feat at the Ehra-Lessien track.

Parmigiani Fleurier, acting as the official partner of Bugatti since 2001, pays tribute to the superior Bugatti car, having created the second generation of Bugatti wristwatches.

The new Parmigiani Fleurier Bugatti Super Sport watch is naturally the choice of Bugatti test driver Pierre-Henri Raphanel, who drives at a top speed of 431 km/h.

In 2004, the world of watchmaking was stunned by the brand’s revolutionary development - the entire movement of its Bugatti Type 370 watch was put on a transverse axis, the same way as a car engine block. A pillar assembly connected five plates of the movement and the train wheels that reminded a car wheel.

In 2010, Parmigiani Fleurier holds another surprise – it places all the mechanical components of the novel calibre Bugatti PF 372 onto a vertical axis and offers the lateral time display highly appreciated by car drivers who can instantly read the time with no need to turn one’s wrist.

The brand managed to develop a 90° time setting system, so the dial is located perpendicular to the display axis. It became possible via integrating a system of double pinions with bevel gearing. The sophisticated mechanical system allows the time to be displayed on the side.

The new Bugatti watch boasts another innovation - its dynamometric crown. It is harmoniously integrated just above the profile, representing an essential technical component in tune with the watch's aerodynamic lines. A slight pressure is required to retract the winding stem from its housing to make the time setting possible.

The manually-wound Calibre Parmigiani 372 gives an advantage of a 10-day power reserve. The 40-jewel movement was designed in two planes to match the contours of the novel Bugatti wristwatch. When you put the watch on the wrist, the watch movement is featured at an angle of 30°. On the upside, the balance and escape wheel bridges look like an arc that makes one think of the Bugatti oval. You get a perfect view of the screw balance and the central circular power reserve bridge featuring a 10-day graduated scale.

The train wheels of the novel movement also look like car wheels, the plate and its 10 bridges adopt the pillar system already incorporated by the Calibre 370.

The Parmigiani Fleurier watch demonstrates six sapphire crystals that protect 337 impressive components of the timepiece. It is 10-meter water-resistant.

You can see the carbon fibre hour wheel through the openworked centre of the dial. The hands, applique indexes and counter are presented in the signature orange color demonstrated by Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport.

The highly tapered profile of the new Bugatti Super Sport reminds a wing. The timepiece is extremely comfortable is it incorporates two removable lugs at the front of the watch.

The case construction, sculptured in 18K white gold with polished and satin finishes, is of extreme complexity. It will make you think of the taut lines of the Bugatti Veyron's wings.

The new Parmigiani Fleurier Bugatti Super Sport watch is presented on an integral Hermes strap. It will be available in a limited edition of 30 pieces.
