Breitling Avenger Seawolf Chrono - Another Technical Breakthrough

The Breitling Avenger Seawolf Chrono watch is created as a true "Instrument for Professionals". It represents an ideal timekeeping companion for those who need an ultimate diver's chronograph.

The Breitling Avenger Seawolf Chrono is equipped with a one-of-a-kind technology to allow the watch's owner operate its chronograph functions underwater down to 1000 meters. This amazing watertightness of the watch is based on a magnetic push-piece principle; the controls are activated through the metal of the case, instead of a direct contact between the push-piece and the movement. As for other chronograph watches, divers are not able to use the chronograph functions while diving as push-pieces represent a potential area for water penetration when the timepiece is subjected to great pressure.

The sturdy stainless steel case of the Breitling watch, measuring 44 mm in diameter, is fitted with a decompression valve. The case construction features a graduated, unidirectional bezel and a curved sapphire crystal provided with an anti-reflective coating on both sides.

The dial offers the choice between several colors. It is characterized by remarkable clarity - the chronograph function is presented via three counters, and the date is visible in a small window.

For better visibility and powerful aesthetic effect, the chronograph sub-dials reveal a grid pattern changing its appearance together with light conditions. The dial is completed with large "stencil" type Arabic numerals, oversized hands and luminescent markers for perfect visibility underwater.

The Breitling Avenger Seawolf Chrono accommodates a chronometer-certified SuperQuartz movement, the Caliber 73, so the watch guarantees superlative timekeeping performance with accuracy ten times greater than offered by a timepiece equipped with a standard quartz movement.

The chronograph functions allow to time intervals of up to 12 hours, with a separate counter for 1/10th second splits (positioned at 2 o'clock). As for the elapsed chronograph minutes, they are indicated by the central sweep seconds hand. The special 'yachting' graduation allows to count down the ten minutes prior to a regatta start.

The Breitling Avenger Seawolf Chrono watch is secured to the wrist on a barenia leather strap, or the Breitling "Diver Pro" rubber strap. The watch may be also presented on the rugged Professional bracelet, with brushed finishing matching the sober design of the case.
