Blancpain St. Valentine’s watches are based on well-maintained watchmaking tradition and boundless creativity. The slender mechanical timekeeping creations are synonymous to feminine and romantic spirit.
For the forthcoming St. Valentines Day, Blancpain has created Saint-Valentin 2009 Flyback Chronograph aimed at ladies with a taste for elegant timepieces with an irresistible sporty appeal.
The extremely feminine timepiece represents a unique mixture of a bold design and precious materials - mother-of-pearl and rubies.
Reflecting the brand’s pioneering approach to female timepieces, the Blancpain accommodates a luxurious movement - the famous Calibre F185, the movement that powered the very first women’s flyback chronograph in the world, introduced back in 1998.
The graceful case of the Blancpain Saint-Valentin 2009 watch measures 34 mm in diameter and reveals a rich polish.
The elegantly white mother-of-pearl dial catches the glance with a precious ruby heart at 6 o’clock that actually represents the small seconds sub-dial. The dial is completed with Arabic hour-markers and hollowed cone-like hands. The tiny date window, found between 4 and 5 o’clock, features the date in crimson red.
Calibre F185 is one of the slimmest self-winding chronograph calibers ever created, incorporating a prestigious column wheel system, the signature feature of Haute Horlogerie chronographs. The exceptional craftsmanship of the movement may be admired through the sapphire crystal window in the case back.
The 308-component movement provides the chronograph function, the hours, minutes, small seconds, and the date display. It gives an advantage of a 40-hour power-reserve.
The Blancpain Saint-Valentin 2009 Flyback Chronograph will be available in a limited edition of 99 pieces.
The timepiece embraces the wrist with a hand-sewn white alligator leather strap fitted with a folding clasp.
The Blancpain watch boasts 100-meter water-resistance.
