The IWC Big Ingenieur Edition Zinedine Zidane watch has been created with a solid stainless steel Ingenieur case, 45.5 mm in diameter, accommodating a sophisticated mechanical automatic movement - IWC in-house 51113 calibre movement.
The 42-jewel movement is beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The mechanism incorporates a large spring barrel that receives energy from the highly efficient Pellaton automatic winding system and gives an advantage of a respectable 7-day power reserve.
The first Edition Zinedine Zidane watch featured the colors of the French national team, but the new Big Ingenieur has a dark brown dial, reflecting the personal taste of the footballer. The sapphire crystal is provided with antireflective coating on both sides.
Your glance will be caught by Arabic numeral “10” created in bright red. The transparent sapphire crystal case-back reveals the name of the footballer engraved on the winding rotor. The medallion also demonstrates a number “10.” This number was featured on Zinedine Zidane’s shirt when he played with the French national team and when he led the “Equipe Tricolore” to a remarkable number of victories, as well as the World Cup crown in 1998.
You will also notice two red numbers on the chapter ring of the new IWC watch - “27” and “45” implying the minutes of play in which Zinedine Zidane scored arguably the two most brilliant goals of his career. At the World Cup Final in 1998, when France won 3:0 against Brazil, the footballer made sure of the half-time lead with two mighty headers in the 27th and 45th minutes, having settled the final score.
The IWC Big Ingenieur Edition Zinedine Zidane watch is presented on a dark brown alligator leather strap offering a comfortable fit on the wrist. The strap is fitted with a pin buckle in stainless steel. The new IWC watch is 120-meter water-resistant.
