Having established the partnership with Wally, the Monaco-headquartered yacht manufacturer, several years ago, Hublot acts as the Wally Class official timekeeper during their regattas.
Now, the leading Swiss watchmaker is proud to introduce a new Big Bang watch - a chronograph built from high-tech materials, demonstrating the design and colors inspired by Wally yachts.
The timepiece celebrates the partnership between the two companies and the values they share – traditional expertise, avant-garde designs, meticulous attention paid to detail and finish.
The Hublot Big Bang Wally is sculptured from an exceptionally light alloy of aluminum and magnesium. It is animated by a titanium movement and is presented on a rubber strap.
The case, bezel and dial of the watch are all created in the same color. You will notice the WALLY logo at 9 o'clock, in black corresponding to the color of the side inserts, the indices and the strap.
The timepiece will be available in a limited number of 500 watches.
As Watches.InfoNIAC.com found out, the Hublot chronograph became the winner in the "Sports watch" category of the highly prestigious Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Geneve awards 2009, the results of which are expected to be published in a few weeks.
The leaders of the two companies, Jean-Claude Biver and Luca Bassani, will unveil the Hublot Big Bang Wally during the last regattas of the season in Saint -Tropez. The two personalities are united by their love for innovation, design, technology, excellence and innovative materials.
