Bell & Ross, a manufacturer of sports timepieces, unveiled its latest BR 01 watches distinguished by their strong "tacticool" aura.

Expressively named Commando, these interpretations accentuate stealth and zero light reflectivity via the blend of a grey powder coating on BR stainless steel cases, sized 46mm, and dials with an unnoticeable primer grey color scheme.

Two versions introduced, are available in a limited edition of 500 items. The Bell & Ross Commando BR 01-96 demonstrates the hours, minutes and sweep seconds, alongside with a large date display, governed by means of the winding crown.

The BR 01-97 offers a conventional date display, featuring, however, a circular power reserve indicator meant to inform about the degree of operating power left in the spring barrel.

These two Bell & Ross Commando timepieces incorporate ETA base calibers, which boast approximately a 42-hour power reserve.

Anti-reflective flat sapphire crystals, black superluminova-coated hands, as well as bold hour and minute scales, ensure perfect readability no matter how much light is available. The special dials are complemented by Bell & Ross matching straps made of grey rubber and powder coated buckles.

Similar to other Bell & Ross BR 01 versions, the Commandos provide 100-meter water resistance. Straps on these timepieces can be replaced by their synthetic canvas or leather alternatives.

In 2007, the famous watchmaker Bell & Ross premiered its limited series Instruments. The timepieces represented Orange interpretations of the BR 01 and BR 03 92 and 94.

Following the steps of other limited edition BR watches, with the Phantoms, Reds, and Blues on the list, the BR 01-97 Orange watch celebrates the Orange dials, the story began with.

The zest of the timepiece is its dial, featuring hour markers being painted on, rather than applied, as it is the case with the regular interpretation of the BR-01 97.

The famous watch manufacture Bell & Ross was a financial supporter of Chefs & Champagne New York, the James Beard Foundation's annual summer gala that occurred in the Hamptons on July 25, 2009.

The Bell & Ross BRS White Ceramic Watch was the brand’s donation to the fundraiser’s Silent Auction. The honorable guests of the event were Alex von Bidder and Julian Niccolini, the owners of the famous Four Seasons Restaurant.

Along with the other world famous watchmakers, unveiling their exclusive watches for the Only Watch 2009 charity auction, Bell & Ross has introduced an exceptional singular model of its novel BR 01 Airborne timepiece, formally bestowed with the Airborne ONE name.

The exceptional skull & crossbones theme of the BR 01 Airborne pays homage to the heroic Allied paratroopers of World War II. A spectacular alteration of black and white brilliant-cut diamonds against the carbon-blackened square case made of stainless steel decorates this very interpretation.

To be made totally exclusive, this model is complemented by a strap manufactured from galuchat leather.

The Only Watch 2009 auction, planned to take place in Monte Carlo on September 24th and to be run for the third time, will present an assemblage of excellent luxury watches. The auction in question is aimed at obtaining funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a severe form of muscular dystrophy that mainly affects male children.

According to Bell & Ross, the novel BR 01 Airborne watch, which is a homage to the courage shown under the war conditions, perfectly symbolizes people’s daily fighting with this debilitating genetic disorder.

Only Watch 2009 is scheduled to be held in Monte Carlo on September 24th, in concert with the Monaco Yacht Show. The Bell & Ross BR 01 Airborne ONE watch, alongside with the pieces unveiled by thirty-three other renowned watch brands, will be auctioned without a reserve.

All funds raised will be donated to an organization, involved in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research project.

Prior to the auction the timepieces will go on a world tour under the auspices of Osvaldo Patrizzi of Patrizzi & Co Auctioneers. The items will be exhibited for admiring sessions in Shanghai, Geneva, London, New York, and Milan.

Today, on June 9th, 2009 Bell & Ross has officially released its BR 01 Airborne watches at a prestigious fashion and style boutique - Colette, located on rue Saint-Honoré in Paris.

The collection coming with two diamond-set interpretations will be up for an exclusive sale at Colette's for the week starting with the release of today.

In the center of Parisian grand shopping district people can see the BR 01 opened to view through the Colette's main store window.

The Bell & Ross BR 01 Airborne timepiece in Paris has been released shortly after the June 6th meeting between French President Nicolas Sarkozy and U.S. President Barack Obama, held in commemoration of the 65th Anniversary of the D-Day Invasion by Allied forces in Normandy.

Presented for the first time at Baselworld 2009, this timepiece is a tribute to courage of Allied paratroopers during World War II, especially those of the US Airborne divisions.

Bell & Ross has equipped Michel Fournier in his search for the extreme. The brand is famous for having achieved a world record with its Hydromax model providing water-resistance at 11,100 meters. Now Bell & Ross has partnered with Michel Fournier trying to beat the altitude world record for a sky dive with a 40,000 meter (equal to 130,000 feet or nearly 25 mile) jump.

On May 26th, 4.30am local time in Canada, in North Battleford, Canada, Michel Fournier has made a stratospheric jump from the frontier of space and for the first time in history a skydiver has broken the sound barrier at a speed of 1,500 kilometers per hour (932 miles per hour).

For this record breaking jump Michel Fournier has chosen to wear the BR 02 INSTRUMENT, a blend of high technology and precision watch-making, characterized by extreme reliability. The mechanism of the watch was designed to resist extreme pressures, as well as abnormally low temperatures.

Basing on the success of the 2007 event, the second edition of the Megeve-Monaco car rally attracted teams from all over Europe. The rally is traditionally open to exceptionally Ferrari cars but this year Maserati cars were also accepted upon special request. The second edition of the rally was a great success due to its club-like atmosphere, international meetings, a shared passion and top organization.

Organized exclusively for modern Ferraris and Maseratis, the 2008 Megeve-Monaco rally attracted a great variety of models that appeared in the period from 1986-2008, some V8 and V12, and two or four seaters.

The winners of each test received most prestigious prizes. Roger and Viviane Blomet aboard their Maserati 3200GT from Team 20 were both awarded with a Space 3 watch, presented by Bruno Bouscary, a representative from the Bell & Ross Company. It is remarkable to mention that the Blomets made up their mind to give one of the two Bell & Ross watches to the runners up, Fran and Richard McCarthy who came from England and were also driving a Maserati.
