Meet Oris BC3 Sportsman Watch

Feb 18, 2010
Oris has created a new version of its famous pilots watch that joined the world of watchmaking in 2000. The Oris BC3 Sportsman boasts an absolutely new case featuring slick, sporty proportions and measuring 42mm in diameter.

Sportsman in the name of the timepiece implies the first classification level for aerobatic pilots and was inspired by the brands cooperation with pilot Don Vito Wyprachtiger. Vito serves as a test pilot for world air race champion Hannes Arch, but is to face his own challenges in the world of aerobatics.

The Oris BC3 Sportsman watch has been created as a purely mechanical timekeeping companion for those eager to wear a reliable, practical and cool wristwatch.

The multi-piece case of the Oris watch is crafted from stainless steel and incorporates a screw-down crown featuring a red inlay. The see through case-back allows to drop a glance at the inner life of the timepiece. It is 100-meter water-resistant.

The black dial of the Oris BC3 Sportsman is completed with Superluminova numerals and indices. The time is indicated by black matte hands, also provided with Superluminova inlays for perfect visibility under any light conditions. The dial is reliably shielded by a flat sapphire glass with inner anti-reflective coating.

The heart of the Oris men's watch is an automatic mechanical movement that animates centralized seconds, minute s and hours, as well as the day and date display at 6 oclock.

The highly dependable Oris BC3 Sportsman watch is presented on a classic leather strap, a masculine stainless steel bracelet or a sporty rubber strap.
