Ball Watch

With the presentation of its
new Trainmaster One Hundred Twenty watch, the horological company
Ball Watch commemorates
120 years of unrivalled precision.
In April, 1891, two trains collided head-on at the depot in
Kipton, Ohio. The accident, in which several people died, became known as the
Kipton Fast Mail train tragedy. It was obviously caused by the engineer’s slow watch.
For the tragedy like this not to happen ever again, Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railroad made a decision to develop a special inspection system. It led to the creation of the Ball Time Service and introduction of standardized practices for pocket watch production. Soon Ball’name became synonymous with a high level of accuracy.
An elegant combination of history and technology, the new Ball Watch watch is proposed with a
39.5mm case, rendered in 18k/750 rose gold.
