Aug 15, 2011
The horological company Ball Watch is proud to present its new Trainmaster Celsius watch. It pays tribute to Anders Celsius, the inventor of the contemporary temperature measurement scale.

To commemorate the anniversary of the renowned Swedish scientist born on November 27th, 1701, the new Ball Watch watch is offered in a limited edition of 310 pieces. The model is set in a 41mm stainless steel case. Its front side is protected by a glare-proofed convex sapphire crystal.

The sapphire glass is also used for the case-back, adorned with a silk-screen printed portrait of Anders Celsius. At 3 oclock, the timepiece features a screwed-in crown. The case is submersible to 50 meters and shock-resistant to 5.000Gs.

Ticking inside the new Ball Watch Trainmaster Celsius watch is an automatic caliber Ball 9018 movement. It incorporates a TMT mechanical thermometer module. Developed and patented by the brand, this device measures the outside temperature between -35C and 45C with an accuracy of 97%. The thermometer indications are shown in a half-moon shaped window at 6 oclock.

The silver dial also ensures central hours, minutes and sweep seconds as well as a date, arranged in an aperture at 1 oclock. To make the display perfectly readable both day and night, the craftsmen have equipped it with 15 micro gas tubes.

The new Ball Watch watch is coupled with a crocodile leather strap, finalized by a standard buckle.
