Azimuth Twin Barrel Tourbillon for Fans of Supercars

Mar 09, 2009
The Azimuth Twin Barrel Tourbillon is a new luxury timepiece inspired by cool cars. Described by its creators as a complex modern machine, the watch demonstrates a unique case crafted from titanium. The case bears a striking resemblance to a miniature Lamborghini Murcielago.

The ultra-light titanium case of the watch, measuring 50 mm x 45 mm x 25 mm, incorporates carbon fiber elements and a double-domed sapphire crystal the shape of which reminds a windscreen.

The Azimuth Twin Barrel Tourbillon is equipped with an exotic mechanical movement. It provides a 5-day power-reserve. A massive tourbillon is positioned at 6 o'clock. The tourbillon mechanism is provided with KIF shock absorption system. It is remarkable that the tourbillon center bridge is black gold-plated. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The timepiece
catches the glance by its avant-garde time display presented via a large central arm, rotating hour satellites and a minute scale.

The breath-taking Azimuth watch embraces the wrist with an interwoven black fibre strap featuring contrast stitching.

As watches.infoniac.com have been informed, the Azimuth Twin Barrel Tourbillon will be unveiled at Baselworld 2009 and will be available in an extremely limited edition of just 50 pieces beginning with June. It is surely a great watch gift for lovers of supercars and unconventional watchmaking.
