Audemars Piguet presented its first Royal Oak Offshore Rubens Barrichello chronograph in 2006 to pay tribute to the achievements of the famous Brazilian racing driver.

Now the brand is unveiling a new exclusive timepiece made especially to honor the Brazilian champion. The watch has inherited the key features of the Royal Oak Offshore Rubens Barrichello collection.

The unique design, inspired by the world of motor racing, reflects F1 finesse and fine watchmaking. The bezel of the Audemars Piguet watch is adorned with 8 screws reminding engine screws. The bezel joint is in the image of a ventilated disc brake, while the strap attachments feature the shape of pedals. The crown makes one think of a gear cog and push-pieces are shaped as an air extractor.

The pink-gold case is blended with titanium studs, push-pieces and crown protector. The watch back features the inscription 'R. Barrichello – 257 – New Grand Prix Record', the Rubens Barrichello logo and name of the timepiece.  read more

Thirty years ago Audemars Piguet unveiled the first ever ultra-thin self-winding perpetual calendar watch.

In 2008, the Swiss watch company created its special anniversary edition Jules Audemars 30th Anniversary Perpetual Calendar. The timepiece will be available in a limited edition of only 90 pieces. The watch accommodates a movement that is merely 4 millimetres thick.

The Kaliber 2120/2802 is an ultra-thin, self-winding movement comprising 355 parts. The mechanism features the day, date, month, moon-phases and leap-year cycle complications. The perpetual calendar of the watch will not need any correction before March 1st, 2100.
