The new Longines watch has been inspired by a 1963 model created essentially for medical use. The original model was born in the period when diagnosis could essentially depend on the precision of the instruments used by the doctor.
The new Longines Asthmometer-Pulsometer Chronograph watch reflects the design peculiarities of the original model. The silvered dial sports the heart rate scale in red and the respiration scale in blue – both scales provide supreme readability. The dial is also completed by “12” numeral and eight gilded applied indices finely matching the gold-plated hands and counter circles.
The steel case measures 38.50 mm in diameter - the same size as the original model. It is teamed with a black alligator strap enhancing the overall elegance of the timepiece. The case-construction is 30-meter water-resistant.
The new Longines watch is animated by a mechanical self-winding movement - Calibre L652.2. The 33-jewel mechanism, beating at 28’800 vibrations per hour, gives an advantage of a 37-hour power reserve.
