Armin Strom Introduces Racing Chronograph Watch

Oct 17, 2011
In the context of its association with a young but ambitious Marussia Virgin Racing F1 team, the horological company Armin Strom has released its new Racing Chronograph watch.

The novelty pays tribute to the team’s member Robert Wickens - the brightest Canadian driving talent to emerge for two decades. He became the winner of the final season of the World Series FR3.5 championship, held in Barcelona.

The new Armin Strom men’s watch is performed in white, red and black - the colors of the Marussia Virgin Racing F1 team. It is available in a 44.40mm titanium case. Its front part is protected by a double-sided glare-proofed sapphire crystal. The model is also equipped with a see-through back part. The case provides 50-meter water-resistance.

The timepiece demonstrates an appealing red and white dial. Equipped with red polished Arabic numerals and polished lume-applied hands, it tells central hours and minutes. The small seconds are indicated in a counter at 9 o’clock.

The chronograph features are assured through a 30-minute sub-dial at 12 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock as well as a central seconds hand. The date indication is arranged in a round aperture at 9 o’clock. The display of the new Armin Strom Racing Chronograph watch also comprises the Marussia Virgin F1 logo.

Animating the functions is a self-winding mechanical movement. The final touch is provided by a black leather strap with rubber inserts and red stitching. The strap joins to a titanium ardillon buckle. The new Armin Strom watch is issued in a limited edition of 400 pieces.
