This year, the famous classical festival in Gstaad celebrates its 55th anniversary and is themed around the idea of “Fire and Sun”. So is the new Armin Strom watch, offered in a limited series of 55 pieces.
The novelty employs an 18ct rose gold case, measuring 43.40mm in diameter. Its top is covered by a glare-proofed sapphire crystal. The same glass is used for the case-back. The model is 50-meter water-resistant.
The new Armin Strom Manual Fire Menuhin Limited Edition watch relies on the brand’s proprietary hand-wound mechanical AMW11 calibre movement. It breathes life into hours and minutes as well as small seconds at 9 o’clock. The functions, displayed by rose gold hands, are featured on the elegant black dial.
The caliber incorporates a gear train bridge, adorned for this very edition with hand-engraved flames, a musical pitch clef and some notes. It comprises 112 individual parts, including 20 jewels. The mechanism operates at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour and supplies a 120-hour power reserve.
The new Armin Strom watch is coupled with a genuine black or brown “horn back” alligator leather strap. It is finalized by an 18ct rose gold ardillon buckle.
