Sultana Reveals Elegant Ariadne Watch

Dec 07, 2009
The watch company Sultana is delighted to present its novel lady's watch, encouraged by Ariadne, who is one of the brightest women in the Greek mythology.

The daughter of King Minos of Crete, Ariadne assisted Theseus in his quest to slay the Minotaur, and then fled with him aboard his ship. However, when they landed on the island of Naxos, Theseus abandoned her as she was sleeping. It was there when the wine-god Dionysus discovered her and made her his wife. To show his deepest love, he offered Ariadna a crown of stars, which turned into a celestial constellation afterwards. This is the story, which can be easily read off a soft-colored dial of this enchanting Sultana watch.

The watchs case measures 30 mm in diameter and is rendered in stainless steel. It embraces the pink mother-of-pearl dial, featuring crystals and four oversized Arabic numerals. There are also available other dial interpretations, performed in silvered matt white, matt black, gilded pink, or white mother-of-pearl. Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal.

The Ariadne watch from Sultana offers the basic function of indicating the hours and minutes. Animating these functions is a quartz movement.

The elegant lady's watch, reviewed by, is secured to the wearers wrist on an originally shaped stainless steel bracelet.
