Meet Hermes Arceau Petite Lune Watch for Ladies

Feb 14, 2013
Celebrating its 35th anniversary, the iconic Arceau watch by Hermes has been introduced in a new version for ladies. The novelty boasts the moon phase complication.

The round case, 38 mm in diameter, is rendered in steel. The case incorporates asymmetrical lugs reminding the shape and curve of a stirrup, the signature feature of the brand.

The new Hermes watch has been created in two variations - with a shimmering white or black mother-of-pearl dial. The dial is graced by elegant sloping Arabic numerals inherited from the original model. It is shielded by an anti-glare sapphire crystal.

Besides the hours and minutes, the new Arceau Petite Lune watch provides two complicated functions:

  • moon phases presented with help of a deep blue disc with silvered moon and stars;

  • a pointer-type date indication.

Ticking inside is a mechanical self-winding movement, crafted in Switzerland. The mechanism is built with a special module used for powering the moon-phase indication. The 21-jewel movement, operating at a frequency of 28, 800 vibrations per hour, offers 42 hours of power reserve. The movement is endowed with fine finishing - its plates and bridges are circular-grained and snailed. The oscillating weight is embellished with a Cotes de Geneve pattern.

The new Hermes Arceau Petite Lune watch is presented on an alligator leather strap available in three colors black, indigo blue, or elephant grey, crafted in the brands workshops with help of the saddle-stitching technique.

The timepiece is 30-meter water-resistant.
