Aquanautic Superking Submarine-Inspired Chronograph

Mar 17, 2008
The Aquanautic Superking is a massive chronograph inspired by submarines. The timepiece equipped with the second-time zone function is developed to guarantee optimal security.

The complex laser-sculpted case of the Aquanautic Superking demonstrates a powerful and harmonious design. The case measuring 52 mm in diameter is produced from stainless steel, titanium and black PVD or 18K pink gold.

The firm construction of the case has incorporated a sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, a unidirectional rotating bezel, a screw-down crown and push-pieces with safety clasp. The design of the double-crown locking system has been suggested by the design of a decompression chamber. The Aquanautic Superking may accompany its owner to depths down to 500 meters.

The watch is aimed at those who need a timekeeper of remarkable functionality - it offers the following functions: hours, minutes, seconds, day, date, second time zone and chronograph. The second time zone is featured on the interior bezel. The diver's watch is equipped with an automatic Valjoux 7750 caliber with 48-hour power reserve.

The dial of the Aquanautic Superking watch is characterized by great legibility. It reveals different color combinations - white, yellow or orange hands and dial on a black ground. The hour-markers and hands are provided with Luminova coating. The hour and minute counters are positioned at 6 and 12 o'clock respectively. The seconds counter found at 9 o'clock is worth special attention as it features the Aquanautic patented screw-propeller hand. The dial of the watch also displays the unconventionally-positioned day and date windows.

The Aquanautic Superking is secured to the wrist with a black rubber strap fitted with a triple folding clasp.
