servicing a quartz watch?

I own a TAG Heuer Aquaracer quartz watch. How often does it need to be serviced?

Quartz watches do not require the same maintenance as mechanical watches. A quartz movement incorporates not so many moving parts, only the gears moving the hands. It should be mentioned that a digital watch lacks moving parts at all.

Still, when you have to open the case of a quartz watch to change the battery, it is better to clean it from possible dirt and dust. So, a quartz watch powered by a battery doesn't need to be serviced until it is necessary to replace its battery – it implies 2-3 years from the day it was produced and left the factory.

You own a rather expensive quartz analog watch, so the gear train of its movement should be lubricated once in 8-10 years.
