Anti-reflective crystal?

The description of the watch says it has an anti-reflective crystal. What does it mean?

An anti-reflective or anti-glare crystal implies that the crystal has anti-reflective coating on one or both sides. For the coating watchmakers use a special substance similar to the substance applied on anti-reflective eyeglasses.

Anti-reflective coating diminishes reflections and glare, this way making it easier for the watch wearer to read the time and other indications on the dial.

Anti-reflective crystals are produced from mineral glass or synthetic sapphire. It is interesting to mention that when you look at an anti-reflective crystal from the front, it is almost invisible as it doesn’t reflect light.
