Timex Reveals Annual Calendar Watch

Jun 11, 2010
At Baselworld 2010, the illustrious watchmaker Timex introduced the Annual Calendar watch, an exciting addition to its SL Series gents’ automatic collection. Launched four years ago, the Timex SL Series became hugely popular with the discerning public and still continues to win the hearts of contemporary men.

Featuring a sports-encouraged profile, the Annual Calendar watch offers certain technical upgrades over its predecessors. The watch in question is designed in a classical style, enhanced with extremely progressive elements. This ultra-modern accessory eloquently demonstrates the infinite care lavished on details.

The novelty from Timex is proposed with a durable 43 mm case, rendered in stainless steel. It proudly reveals a complicated and multi-textured dial, accented with rose gold-tone touches. These accents are continued on the bezel and crown, enhancing the visual appeal of the watch.

Set within the dial are multiple precise counters, the bold innovations introduced by the brand. These sub-dials are located at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. The remarkable sun/moon counter portrays a conventional design. It exudes incredible warmth, indicating whether it is day or night. The second and third counters present the day of the week and the date respectively.

The display also includes hour-markers and hands, treated with a luminous coating to ensure that the time can be easily read even in poor light conditions. Adding a final note of harmony to the dial design is a collection’s emblematic ‘T’ sweep seconds hand.

The dial is embraced by the imposing stainless steel case, equipped with a see-through back. Its water-resistance is assured to 100 meters. Beating inside the case is an automatic movement, paved with 25 precious stones.

Keeping the Timex Annual Calendar watch secured to the wearer’s wrist is a stainless steel bracelet or a genuine leather crocodile-patterned strap, embellished with color-coordinated stitching.
