Meet Alpina Startimer Classic Chrono Automatic Watch

Oct 10, 2011
The horological company Alpina is pleased to unveil its new Startimer Classic Chrono Automatic watch.

Extremely modern, the novelty demonstrates vintage features in its character, since it is inspired by the pilots watches, issued by the house in 1920s and 30s. The new Alpina watch is delivered in a 44 mm stainless steel case. Both top and bottom of the model are fitted with sapphire crystals. The case provides 100-meter water-resistance.

The new Alpina Startimer Classic Chrono Automatic watch shows off a silvered dial. Equipped with applied Arabic numerals and luminescent hands, it whispers the time through central hours and minutes. The small seconds are indicated in a counter at 9 oclock.

Set within the display are also a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock and a central chronograph seconds hand. Driving the functions is an automatic AL-860 chronograph movement. It incorporates a rotor, graced with a Cotes-de-Geneve finish. The caliber supplies a 42-hour power reserve.

A brown imitation crocodile leather strap, closed with a stainless steel folding clasp, completes the features of the new Alpina watch.
