Glycine Airman 1953 Vintage Watch - Ageless and Alluring

Nov 07, 2012
Glycine gladly presents its new Airman 1953 Vintage watch. The novelty has been inspired by the first Airman model introduced in 1953, with the design based on the wish list of real pilots.

One of the true pioneers of Swiss pilot watches, the original Airman boasted an automatic movement, a 24-hour display, a second time zone function and luminous numerals. It was followed by 25 generations, each maintaining the distinctive features of the original.

The new Airman 1953 Vintage watch pays tribute to the first Airman, having been updated with the latest technical achievements. Its heart is a rhodanised automatic movement ETA 2893. It is adorned with a Cotes-de-Geneve decoration.

The same as the original, the new Glycine watch provides a 24-hour display and a second time zone function. The clear dial makes one think of the 1950s and brings one into the remarkable era of the true pioneers of pilot watches.

The 42mm-in-diameter case is fashioned in stainless steel. The face is protected by a sapphire crystal. The timepiece is 200-meter water-resistant.

The new Glycine Airman 1953 Vintage watch is presented in a wooden case, the same as the original, accompanied by a 1950′s style guarantee certificate.

The model will be available in a limited edition of 600 pieces at a recommended retail price of 2350 Swiss francs.
