The new Corum watch corresponds to all the standards of a professional diverís instrument. The case, 48mm-in-diameter and 18.9mm thick, is rendered in grade 5 titanium. The decompression valve is found at 9.30 on the case. It is responsible for venting the helium that may get inside a timepiece during a long stay in a hyperbaric chamber. Without the helium valve, the gas would expand and cause damage to the watch.
The unidirectional rotating bezel of the diverís watch features 120 graduations and is accurate to the nearest half-minute, so the diver can carefully monitor immersion times.
To offer perfect dial readability even in reduced or no light conditions, the hands and hour-markers are provided with black Superluminova or a bi-light orange coating.
The heart of the Admiralís Cup Seafender 48 Deep Dive is an automatic Caliber CO947 movement, a COSC-certified chronometer, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The 24-jewel mechanism gives an advantage of a 42-hour power reserve. It animates central hours and minutes, small seconds positioned at 9 oíclock, and the day and date at 3 oíclock.
The second variation features the case sculptured in PVD blackened grade 5 titanium, the bezel in 18K red gold and the dial with black hour-markers. It is limited to 100 pieces. Both versions are presented on a black vulcanized rubber strap fitted with a titanium pin buckle.
