Corum Presents Admiral's Cup Legend 42 and Admiral's Cup Legend 38 Watches

Mar 30, 2011
The Corum Admiral’s Cup collection, born in 1960 and inspired by the maritime world, is joined by two new members - the Admiral’s Cup Legend 42 and the Admiral’s Cup Legend 38 watches.

The new Corum watches stand out due to their understated and elegant style. They are smaller in sizes in comparison to other members of the collection. The Corum watchmakers have redesigned the case – it has acquired more powerfully curved and rounded lugs. The transparent sapphire crystal case-back allows to drop a glance at the inner mechanism.

The Corum Admiral’s Cup Legend 38 watch is the first feminine member of the collection that boasts a mechanical automatic movement - Caliber CO 082. The oscillating weight is embellished with the Corum logo. Oscillating at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement offers a 42-hour power reserve. Besides conventional hours and minutes, it animated the date function presented at 3 o’clock on a refined dial.

The black or gray dial is fashioned in mother-of-pearl from the Pinctada Maxima, a pearl oyster that belongs to the Pacific Ocean. The dial is completed with nine hour-markers set with a diamond, rhodium, or gold depending on the case material. It also features applied 30 and 60 numerals located at 6 and 12 o’clock.

The case of the lady’s watch is rendered in steel or 18K red gold. It incorporates a bezel paved with 72 full-cut diamonds.

The Corum Admiral’s Cup Legend 38 lady’s watch embraces the wrist with a satin strap fitted with a safety-pusher folding clasp.

The timepiece is 50-meter water-resistant.

The Corum Admiral’s Cup Legend 42 watch is created for men who like timepieces of classic, technically oriented character.

The heart of the new Corum watch is a mechanical self-winding movement - Caliber CO395. The 27-jewel mechanism drives the following functions - hours, minutes, small seconds and the date function featured at 3 o’clock. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, it gives an advantage of a 42-hour power reserve. Its oscillating weight is engraved with the Corum name.

The men’s watch is available in several versions:

  • the case in steel or the combination of steel and gold with a vertical guilloche motif on the dial, presented on a leather strap;

  • the case in 18K red gold with a barleycorn guilloche on the dial, presented on an alligator strap.

The steel and steel-and-gold versions are also presented on a new matching steel bracelet exclusively created for this model.

The Corum Admiral’s Cup Legend 42 men’s watch is 50-meter water-resistant.
