The DeWitt Academia Collection welcomes a new member - the Academia Blackstream Chronograph watch. The same as other pieces in the Blackstream line, the latest addition is destined at young, dynamic and sporty men.
The new Academia Blackstream Chronograph watch has obviously been inspired by a sports car universe. The black velvet face of the new DeWitt watch makes one feel its sporty elegance. The classical seconds are featured via a counter at 9 o’clock. It is visually balanced by another counter at 3 o’clock that will remind you an eye-catching speedometer of a racing car. The two sub-dials are interconnected by a “radiator-grille” that will make you think of the mechanical components of a car motor. The dial also demonstrates an elegant sunray pattern.
The heart of the chronograph watch is a self-winding mechanical movement - DW6005. The 27-jewel movement, operating at a frequency of 28, 800 vibrations per hour, offers an advantage of a 48-hour power reserve.
The case of the watch measures 44 mm in diameter and is crafted in Grade 5 titanium, black PVD and black rubber. The flanks of the case are discretely embellished with the brand’s signature 24 imperial columns. The bezel creates a distinctive contrast to the completely black design of the watch. The sapphire crystal screw- secured case back allows to rest one’s eyes on the inner life of the timepiece.
The new DeWitt Academia Blackstream Chronograph watch is secured to the wearer’s wrist on a mat black rubber strap demonstrating the brand’s distinguishing “imperial columns” pattern or a mat black Alligator leather strap. The straps are fitted with a triple-blade folding clasp in blackened PVD titanium featuring engraved “W” signature.
The timepiece boasts 30-meter water-resistance. It is delivered in a limited edition of 250 pieces.
