New Girard-Perregaux 1966 41mm Watch - Reputation for Excellence

Oct 16, 2012
Girard-Perregaux gladly presents its new 1966 41mm watch. The novelty, with its refined style, embodies the timeless spirit of classic watchmaking.

The elegant opaline lightly curved dial conventionally displays the time with help of three hands – two leaf-shaped hands and a central seconds hand in blue steel. The dial is completed with four applied hour markers. The date is discreetly presented at 3 o’clock.

The re-designed 41mm case of the new Girard-Perregaux watch is rendered in pink gold. It captures the glance by its pure lines and hand-crafted finishes reflecting great watchmaking tradition. The face of the watch is protected by a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The case-construction is 30-meter water-resistant.

The enlarged size of the case allowed the accommodation of the self-winding mechanical caliber GP4500 beating inside. The movement was designed at the Manufacture’s R&D department and produced and assembled independently within its workshops. It is based on the historical, technical and aesthetic expertise of the brand.

The 188-piece 28-jewel mechanism, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, provides a 54-hour power reserve. The oscillating weight is crafted in pink gold and engraved with Girard-Perregaux’s name. It is embellished with Côtes de Genève decoration.

The new Girard-Perregaux 1966 41mm watch is teamed with an alligator strap equipped with a pink gold pin buckle.
