Corum is pleased to unveil its
new Admiral’s Cup AC-One 45 Regatta watch. Having long partnered with the most prestigious regattas and sailors, including Loick Peyron and Ben Ainslie, the brand has now developed a caliber that provided a countdown function with a chronograph.
The new Corum watch has maintained all the classic features of the iconic Admiral’s Cup collection born in 1960.
The novelty is animated by a
new automatic movement -
Caliber CO 040, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 48-hour power-reserve. Its jumping countdown function can be adjusted from 0 to 10 minutes. Its numerical aperture display guarantees perfect readability. Its chronograph allows to time up to 12 hours of racing.
Prior to the first regatta signal, the watch owner programs the
countdown function with help of the crown to the number of minutes according to the regatta standards at between 0 and 10 minutes, and then presses the pushbutton to make it run. If it is set to 10 minutes, the transition to 9 in the aperture pointed to by the red arrow is performed via a jump after 60 seconds. Then, the minutes left are marked off down to 0, and the final gun is fired signaling the start of the race. Using the regatta countdown function of the watch its wearer can set it incrementally to any given minute between the first and last sound signal before the race starts.
The
extremely accurate chronograph is presented via a red central sweep-seconds hand and 30-minute and 12-hour counters positioned at 12 and 6 o’clock respectively. It continues running to count off up to 12 hours of racing.
The case, 45 mm in diameter, is rendered in
grade 5 titanium and reflects the signature identity codes of the collection - an iconic 12-sided bezel and the inner bezel ring bearing the nautical pennants.
The case demonstrates alternating polished and satin-brushed finishes. There are black PVD-coated inserts embedded between the middle of the case and back and between the bezel and the middle of the case. The case-construction is
300-meter water-resistant. It is built with a transparent sapphire crystal case-back that allows to admire the beauty of Caliber CO 040 and its black PVD-coated oscillating weight.
The
black dial is completed with hour-markers and hands provided with light-colored Superluminova. The glance is caught by extremely sporty red accents.
The
new Corum Admiral’s Cup AC-One 45 Regatta watch is teamed with a titanium grade 5 bracelet or a crocodile leather strap equipped with a folding clasp.

Victorinox Swiss Army is excited to unveil a new version of its bestseller Chrono Classic model – the
Chrono Classic 1/100th watch. The novelty boasts both aesthetic and technical innovations.
The new Victorinox watch is equipped with a
new quartz movement and the watch’s owner can easily transform it from a classic timepiece into a chronograph with 1/100th of a second accuracy. This transformation simply requires a double press of the crown. It is also important to mention that for the first time for this type of movement, the 1/100th of a second is presented numerically with help of two rotating discs.
The Chrono Classic watch holds one more surprise -
two fresh dial colors.
Despite all the innovations, the new version of the Chrono Classic has maintained its signature features – the case with its fluid forms, elegant horns, and oblong buttons on both sides of the crown.
How is the
transformation into a chronograph performed? When the watch owner presses the crown twice, the three central hands are realigned at 12 o’clock, and the 6 o’clock date indicator is transformed into a counter at zero position. The chronograph is traditionally started by pressing the 2 o’clock button. The red central hand shows the seconds, while the other hands are responsible for counting out the minutes and hours. To stop the time measurement the same operation is performed –the 1/100th of a second is showed in the 6 o’clock window. The 4 o’clock pushbutton resets the chronograph.
It is remarkable that the watch owner can go back to the normal way of time-reading even while the stopwatch is running. He simply performs a double-click on the crown.
The new Chrono Classic 1/100th watch has been developed in close cooperation with
Soprod. It is animated by the
Swiss-Made Soprod SOP FM13D quartz movement.
The guilloche decoration above both discs at 6 o’clock have been inspired by the shape and casing of the Swiss Army Officer’s Knife, paying tribute to the origins and philosophy of the brand. The discs’ rotation hints at the knife’s folding blades.
The new Victorinox Chrono Classic 1/100th watch has been created in a few variations:
- a powerful sporty version with a “dark grey” dial and bezel with Black Ice PVD coating, a case teamed with a biologically tanned black leather strap or a stainless-steel bracelet.
- a more urban and audacious version with a champagne dial and bezel, gold PVD coating, a case teamed with a biologically tanned brown leather strap or stainless-steel bracelet.
The
41 mm case is rendered in brush polished stainless steel. The face is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with triple anti-reflective coating. The case-construction is 100-meter water-resistant.
The
new Victorinox Chrono Classic 1/100th watch is expected to be available starting with September 2013.

In 2013,
Victorinox Swiss Army is pleased to present new versions of its
iconic Original watch. The military-inspired timepiece is monochrome in tone and extremely easy-to-read. Now, the Original watch is modernized and urbanized. It is coupled with a new modular leather strap.
The Original holds a special place in the history of the brand. It is the very first Victorinox model introduced in the United States in 1989. Since then, the Original model, characterized by simplicity, assertive design, top quality, and durability, has always been featured in the catalog, having become a true icon.
The color of the straps has been inspired by the color of the leather case of the original Swiss Army Officer’s knife. The chronograph model, limited to 1989 pieces, referring to the year of introduction of the first model, boasts an additional detail - a
removable leather hood completely encasing it. This casing pays tribute to the military watches of the first half of the 20th century, which were protected by a grille or a lid. Today, this element looks stylish and unconventional.
The new Original watch is now presented in
two versions :
- a three-hand version with a date window, equipped with a Ronda quartz movement.
- a chronograph version with three central hands, three sub-dials, a date window found at 4 o’clock, animated by an ETA quartz chronograph movement.
The case construction incorporates a
brushed aluminum bezel accentuating the trendy look of the watch. The central seconds hand stands out due to its delicate orange color. While the older versions of the Original watch were coupled with a NATO fiber strap, the new Original watch is teamed with a stylish two-piece leather strap, while the Original Chronograph watch is presented on a three-piece strap.
With both models, you can wear the natural leather strap in the traditional way, or adding a cuff that fits over the base strap with two loops.

nylon characterized by supreme lightness. The crown protection proves that the watch can withstand harsh conditions.

dial guarantees great legibility. It is completed with oversized indexes and numerals that are recessed and covered with luminescent material.

Girard-Perregaux presents its
new Traveller ww.tc watch. Created as a fine traveling watch, the timepiece reflects the brand’s remarkable expertise in the field of world time watches.
Till the end of the 19th century each city used its own time based on observation of the sun. For example, the United States had about 115 official local times. In 1870, the Canadian engineer
Sandford Fleming introduced a worldwide system, having divided the world into 24 time zones. The system was gradually adopted by all countries of the world. In 1935, the Genevan watchmaker
Louis Cottier developed a timepiece indicating the time in all 24 time zones.
The
case of the new Girard-Perregaux watch is constructed from 34 elements and demonstrates polished and satin-brushed finishes. The steel case accommodates a
self-winding movement - the
in-house caliber GP03300. The 476-part mechanism drives the following functions – hours, minutes, small seconds, world time with day/night indication, a chronograph and a date.
The
opaline dial features two hands in luminescent material and a clearly visible seconds hand. The creators of the timepiece wanted the dial to show the meridians, while maintaining its supreme readability. The dial is edged by a beveled ring with the names of the 24 cities and by the 24-hour day/night disk. The date aperture is found at 2 o’clock. The 30-minute counter is positioned at 9 o’clock, the small seconds counter at 3 o’clock, and the 12-hour aperture at 6 o’clock. The hour markers are also provided with luminescent material.
Although the new Traveller ww.tc watch boasts its mechanical complexity, it is
absolutely user-friendly. The single screwed crown found at 3 o’clock is to be used for regulating all the watch’s functions. The crown has three notches. The first position is for setting the city index, the second for setting the date and the third for setting the time, the minute and the 24-hour ring.
The ergonomic design of the watch is completed with an extremely flexible rubber strap covered in velvet look alligator leather.
The
new Girard-Perregaux Traveller ww.tc watch has been created in
three other variations: a matte black dial and a steel case, a silvered opaline dial and a titanium case, and a silvered opaline dial, a black ceramic bezel and a steel case.

Girard-Perregaux introduces its
new Traveller collection. The novelties demonstrate a refined and modern style. They are both casual and elegant. The collection includes two models – a chronograph watch with time zone indication, and a moon phases and large date model.
The new Traveller collection is characterized by sleek lines and dynamic curves. The surface of the
44 mm case features alternating satin-brushed and polished finishes that capture and reflect the light, underlining each design detail. The dials present the time display in relief.
The oscillating weight and the folding clasp are devoted to the arrow of the brand’s signature three gold Bridges.
The
Traveller moon phases and large date watch immediately makes one feel its modernity. The steel case is built from 30 elements, catching the glance by a subtle interplay of satin-brushed and polished surfaces.
The
slightly spherical opaline dial features the time with an effect of depth with help of the plunging beveled minute scale. The dial is graced by applique hour-markers with luminescent tips pointing towards the center. The hour and minute hands are also provided with a luminescent material. The dial indications are elegantly laid out. The large date window found at 12 o’clock is topped by a polished GP applique. The moon phases are presented along with the small seconds at 7.30. The power reserve display is found at 4.30.
The heart of the timepiece is a
self-winding mechanical movement –
in-house caliber GP03300. The 35-jewel movement, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, gives an advantage of a 46-hour power-reserve.
Due to an innovative design, the
moon phases and power reserve display mechanisms are linked directly to the barrel. The remarkably precise lunations are presented on a wheel in continuous rotation. They have to be adjusted just by one day in 122 years. The corrector is found on the case at 10 o’clock.
You will notice that the
design for the moon is highly realistic. The image depicts the visible face of the moon – it is created on a mineral glass and then metalized with a gentle gradation from black to gray making one think of the Milky Way. The sky is studded by silvery stars. The display is framed by a satin-brushed circular border bearing the divisions of the small seconds.
The instantaneous large date jumps in 15 milliseconds. The work of the date display mechanism is based on a system patented by the brand. It incorporates two disks – a transparent disk and a matte disk, for the units and tens respectively. The disks, being just 0.10 mm thin, overlap with no borderline. The round contemporary calligraphy of the date numerals finely matches the overall design of the timepiece.
The
new Girard-Perregaux Time Traveller moon phases and large date watch is presented on a black alligator leather strap perfectly integrated with the case for the utmost comfort on the wrist.
The model has been also created with a black or gray dial, a black ceramic bezel and a brown strap.

It is remarkable that the new Vacheron Constantin watch corresponds to the requirements of the Poinçon de Genève,the highly prestigious hallmark confined not only to the movement, but the whole finished timepiece.
The Patrimony Traditionnelle Small Seconds is animated by the
hand-wound Vacheron Constantin 4400 movement. The finishing and conception of the mechanism reflect its superlative craftsmanship. Oscillating at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the 127-part, 21-jewel movement provides the functions of hours, minutes and small seconds. It gives an advantage of a
65-hour power reserve.
The main flat surfaces of the movement are embellished with a meticulous “Côtes de Genève” pattern. The angles and the screw heads are bevelled and hand-polished.
The
new Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle Small Seconds watch is delivered on a black Mississipiensis alligator leather strap fitted with a 950 platinum pin buckle.

Breitling debuts its
new Bentley Light Body Midnight Carbon watch, best described as elegant and ultra sporty.
The
dashboard-inspired dial demonstrates two exclusive technical features of the brand. They are accentuated by red rimmed indications. The smart
“30 second chronograph” system, crowned by a patent back in 1926, incorporates a central hand that sweeps around the dial in half a minute instead of the common 60 seconds, offering remarkably accurate 1/8th of a second readings.
While conventional tachometers are meant to be used for observations based only on times lasting less than 60 seconds, the new Breitling watch is built with a
“variable tachometer” switched on via the rotating pinion bezel and can be used for measuring average speeds whatever the time elapsed, the distance covered or the speed achieved.
The all-black design makes one feel its originality and strength. The hands and hour markers are also presented in matt black provided by a luminescent coating for utmost readability in the dark.
The
49 mm case is crafted from black titanium. Built with a screw locked crown, it is
100-meter water-resistant. The dial is shielded by a cambered sapphire crystal, glareproofed on both sides.
The new Breitling Bentley Light Body Midnight Carbon watch is teamed with a midnight black rubber strap that features a central raised motif matching that of the knurled bezel , making one think of the signature radiator grilles on the prow of Bentley cars.
The heart of the Breitling watch is a
self-winding chronograph movement - Breitling Calibre 25B, offering the precision and reliability chronometer-certified by the COSC. The 38-jewel movement is operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
The Breitling Bentley Light Body Midnight Carbon watch is available in a
limited number of 1,000 pieces.

The horological world welcomes a masterpiece of the watchmaking art – the
Ulysse Nardin Stranger watch. The novelty imitates a classical music box playing “
Strangers in the Night” on the hour or on request. It has been inspired by the brand’s partner, musician and conceptual artist,
Dieter Meier, and bears his signature. It belongs to a
limited edition of just 99 pieces.
The development of the new Ulysse Nardin watch took more than five years. The “Stranger” represents a
mechanical self-winding musical watch. It incorporates the brand’s
silicium technology for the escapement and anchor of the
in-house UN-690 movement. The watch wearer adjusts the time with utmost ease. He activates the crown function with help of a pusher instead of traditionally pulling out the crown. The 64-jewel movement provides 48 hours of power-reserve.
You can admire the action of the mechanism via a sapphire crystal. To hear the melody “Strangers in the Night” hourly or on request you have to actuate a special pusher. The on/off pusher for activating or deactivating the musical mechanism is found at 10 o’clock.
The integral pusher crown allows to set a number of functions, including winding, setting the date and correcting the time. You have to simply turn the crown forwards or backwards.
The
45 mm case is sculptured from 18K rose gold. It is 30-meter water-resistant.
The
Ulysse Nardin Strange watch is presented on a leather strap fitted with a folding buckle.
